There is a cycle path for families that runs through the Val di Sole along the Noce river. The Val di Sole cycle path runs almost entirely along the path of the Noce River, for 35 km, from Cogolo di Pejo to Mostizzolo, following the route of ancient connecting roads or embankments and country roads. The route is not challenging and covers a total altitude difference of 565 meters. You can choose various routes, use the Dolomiti Express train (Train + Bike service) and the Bici Bus, equipped for transporting bikes, to include in the itineraries or go up comfortably from the valley floor. Bicycles can be rented at the numerous rental shops throughout the valley.
Path:
- THE UPPER PART – FROM COGOLO TO OSSANA
The cycle path begins from the town of Cogolo, after a short climb you follow downhill the course of the River Noce in its wildest stretch. Let yourself be inebriated by its majesty and the cool breeze it generates.
- THE CENTRAL PART – FROM OSSANA TO MALÉ
From Ossana to Mezzana: the route alternates between flat sections and gentle descents, passing near the suggestive villages of Ossana and Pellizzano. It will certainly be exciting to “bike” under Castel San Michele.
From Mezzana to Daolasa: the descent continues, take a break in Daolasa to see the fields where the Mountain Bike World Championships take place or to climb up to 2000m with the cable car and admire one of the best views of the Brenta Dolomites.
From Daolasa to Malé: probably the easiest part of the entire cycle path. Along the green prairies, it will be amusing to go down to the side of the River Noce, watching adults and children have fun while experiencing the thrill of a rafting descent on the renowned waters of the Solandro stream.
- THE BOTTOM PART – FROM MALÉ TO MOSTIZZOLO:
From Malé, the capital of the Val di Sole, you go down to Mostizzolo, going through some ups and downs among the apple orchards of the bottom valley. Arrived at the end of the cycle path, you can cycle back along the same path or use the Train + Bike service.
