At the first bend of the provincial road that goes from Peio Fonti to Peio Paese, take the asphalted road which, on the left, leads to Lake Pian Palù. After about 1 km you will reach the Malga Frattasecca car park (1,523 m). Continuing on foot, after about 100 m on the left, take the SAT path n. 110 which descends to the valley floor and then climbs up to Forte Barba di Fior (1,510 m), an Austro-Hungarian fortification dating back to the First World War. Journey duration: about 30 minutes.
Possibility to continue along the same path to Fontanino (1,680 m) for about 45 minutes and from here, after about another 20 minutes of more challenging walk, you reach Lake Pian Palù (1,800 m), a well-known artificial basin that collects the waters of the upper course of the Noce stream.
