
From the central Piazza S. Giorgio, next to the Peio Paese parish church (1,556 m), take the climb towards the pleasant hill of San Rocco. Possibility to visit the Austro-Hungarian Cemetery, which houses the graves of some soldiers dating back to the Great War and who emerged a few years ago from the eternal ice of San Matteo and Presena. Then continue until you reach some cottages in Loc. Covel and continuing on the dirt road you reach the Malga and Lake Covel (1,839 m), to then arrive at the Rio Vioz Waterfalls. Remaining on the same path, shortly after you come across a crag (a rock climbing gym). Further on you return again to the Masi di Covel.
To vary the way back, it is advisable to take the SAT path n. 125, which quickly leads to the village of Peio Paese, passing by ancient and evocative farmsteads.
